National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) TPA

The National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) is one of the flagship programs of the Government of India under the provisions of the Apprenticeship Act,1961, amended from time to time.  The scheme contributes to a national strategy for skill development and boosting employability among youth making them industry-ready by providing on-the-job training through apprenticeship. On July 30, 2024, the government launched The National Apprenticeship Training Scheme 2.0 (NATS 2.0).

NATS 2.0 Scheme Benefits for Employers

Some benefits of the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme 2.0 (NATS 2.0) for employers include the following.
  • Partial Stipend Support by Government of India:
    The government of India shares 50% of the minimum amount stipulated under the Apprentices Act, 1961 up to ₹4,500 per apprentice per month, directly into the bank accounts of apprentices. In the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme 2.0 (NATS 2.0). Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) plays a crucial role in ensuring transparency and efficiency.

NATS Apprentice Qualification:
  • Graduates in Engg./Tech (BE, BTech, BPharma, BArch, etc..)
  • Graduates in General Stream (B.Sc., B.com, B.A, BBA, BCA, etc..)
  • Diploma in Engg/Tech (Diploma – Engg, Pharma, Arch, etc..)
  • Technician Vocational

Maximum apprenticeship duration is up to three years
