National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) TPA

The National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) encourages employers to hire apprentices and provide on-the-job training under the framework of the Apprenticeship Act,1961 and The Apprenticeship Rules 1992 as amended from time to time. Launched in 2016, The scheme covers industries across various sectors and targets the creation of skilled manpower to meet industry needs. 

The National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme 2.0 (NAPS 2.0) is an updated version of the original National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme. Launched in 2021, NAPS 2.0 further strengthens the apprenticeship ecosystem in India by enhancing financial incentives and simplifying the apprenticeship process.

NAPS 2.0 Scheme Benefits for Employers

  • Partial Stipend Support by the Government:

NAPS Apprentice Qualification:
  • Candidate should be minimum 5th pass
  • ITI, B. A, B. Com, B. Sc, BE, Diploma holder, and other Skill Certificate holders don’t need basic training.
  • Freshers above 5th pass to 12th Std pass who do not have industry or work experience and do not have any Skill Certificate need basic training

Maximum apprenticeship period is up to three years
